The lovely Melissa and Paul met at a straw bail house building course 10 years ago. The attraction was instant and it wasn’t long before they embarked on their life’s journey together. They found some land at Gundaroo, NSW and built their own house of straw and along the way had two beautiful boys. They had always though they would get married but somehow didn’t get around to it. This year Melissa took the opportunity (as it is a leap year) and proposed. As with everything else, they have gone against tradition and planned a winter wedding in a garden no less. The weather ended up being perfect, still and sunny. The atmosphere was full of family, children, wonderful hats, and tender, heartfelt words. Thank you Melissa and Paul for inviting me to be part of your day. xox
Hi Lindi, You’ve done a wonderful job of the wedding photos. Thank you so much. I’m sorry if I seemed a little stressed on the day – but, it all came together in the end and your photos are just amazing. We really appreciate the nice little touches you’ve included – like my sister, Trish, ironing the boy’s clothes – and the one of Sunny (their dog). They reflect a lovely winter’s day in Gundaroo and a very lovely little do-it-yourself (mostly) wedding – so, and the little family in question, should be very pleased with yourselves.
Thank you again,
With best wishes from the Mother of the bride, Ros
Thank you for your lovely comments Ros. It was a beautiful day. xox
Wow! You have captured the day so beautifully – the feeling and meaning of the day can be seen in your photos. Melissa is so gorgeous. Her dress looks so ethereal hanging in the window – lucky it was such a perfect and relatively warm day. And Paul looks pretty smashing too. Love Tash
Hi Lindi,
Thank you so much for creating such a beautiful blog of our wedding day. What beautiful photos. You’ve captured so much of the day, our friends and family and all those little things that alas, on the day, I didn’t have time to fully appreciate. You have turned images into works of art and they are just beautiful in and of themselves. I love the contrast between black and white and colour, how you’ve cropped some photos, how you’ve captured so many moments and how you managed to hide the mayhem at our place before the ceremony! The day was so much fun (especially once we started the ceremony – I look a bit serious beforehand) and you’re photos have captured this and will be such a precious reminder to us of how lovely the day was. You were so right in what you said about what a professional photographer can achieve. I can’t wait to see all the photos!
Many many many thanks,
from the bride (how long am I allowed to get away with that?)
Melissa
