When I was approached by Sunday Style Magazine to do a series of portraits of Emma and David for a feature story on love I had know idea who I was photographing. My brief was to create a series of images of the couple doing the things they love together. They were a really sweet couple and they loved cooking and reading. Emma was studying and David said he worked for a football club. They were passionate about environment issues and had a big sense of social justice. While they got married they will not sign the formal marriage certificate until we have marriage equality in our country.

When the article was published I asked my parents to have a look for it in the magazine. It was not until the images were published that my parents who are huge rugby fans pointed out that David was David Pocock the then captain of the Wallabies.
